My go-to Protein Shake

I have enjoyed many protein shakes over the years, green, yellow, blue and white. Added fun protein powders, fruits, veggies and lots of milks and juices.

I recently tried a protein shake while walking State Street in Santa Barbara and fell in love with a peanut butter version. That day they asked if I wanted to add chocolate, but that would have meant adding Hershey’s chocolate sauce and I said no. YUCK… When I got home I immediately created my own chocolate peanut butter healthy shake with less carbs. It is so good and filling!

Here is the recipe:

  • 1 scoop – Keto friendly (low carb) chocolate protein
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1 cup almond milk (or any plant based milk)
  • 2 TB Monk fruit sugar (or other low carb sweetners)
  • 2 TB low sugar peanut butter (I use Justin’s)

Blend all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Add a little more milk if you need it less thick. It’s super creamy and thick!
