I started walking outdoors years ago. I needed a place to create stillness in my brain. Listening to music while I walk soothes the soul. Each day I look forward to walking and listening to my new music playlist. There is always a theme on Apple music or an interesting podcast to enjoy as I walk for miles.
We live in a beautiful place where I am able to get out and walk and enjoy the scenery each day. Sun, rain or snow I am out there enjoying what the day brings me. Walking will help me start the day with a positive attitude. It’s helped my hips grow stronger.
My immune system is better than ever and my muscles are stronger. Movement is medicine for your soul and body. You need to move and my favorite place to move is outdoors. Keeping your heart rate up as you move will create a lean body too.
Is there a favorite outdoor walking space you enjoy? Somedays the wind will blow the scent of pine trees or if it’s a weekend I smell bacon or dryer sheets. It’s always fun to see what my walks bring. Somedays I see lots of deer or an eagle soaring above. Happy kids riding bikes with their families or runners passing by. I have met so many fun community members driving by too.
Take an hour a day and find your happy place to walk, hike or run outdoors. This is a habit you will love for years!
