Invest in your health

We have one body to last us a lifetime. Showing your body some love should always be number one in your daily regimen. Especially during this scary pandemic time. What easy steps can you take to invest in your health? Is your body in shape to take on a virus? Do you feed your body lots of veggies and fruits each and everyday? How about supplements?

As we age the body needs a little more help with good healthy choices. It takes 21 days to create healthy habits. It could take years to tweak and find the right healthy lifestyle for you. Start now so you can enjoy the retirement years with your spouses and your family.

Invest time each day to move. Getting your heart rate up for a duration of time will help your body, immune system, mood and heart.

  • Plan easy budget friendly meals. Your plate should have more vegetables that protein at each meal time.
  • Costco has stocked so many great supplements at budget friendly costs. Invest in Vitamin D, C and B’s besides your multi vitamin.
  • Instead of buying or making treats for your family daily, try creating a special night for a favorite treat and a weekend afternoon for sugary fun.
  • Working in a garden creates so many good vibes for the earth and your family. Working in soil and creating your own food is so satisfying.
  • Be your own health advocate. Listen to podcasts and audible books on creating a healthy lifestyle. Listen to these as you walk, clean, drive or enjoy hammock time outside.
  • Take time to relax and rest your body as often as possible. We can all get so busy with life. Stress hurts your immune system. Sleep will help heal your body. This is one area where I personally need to help with.

The best investment you could ever do for yourself is create the best you! Take good care of yourself and your family. Keep safe and healthy!
